When the snowballs were the right size, the children stacked them on top of each other. They then used a carrot for the snowman's nose, two coal pieces for his eyes, and a stick for his mouth.
The snowman was so big and tall that Billy could reach up and touch his nose. He thought the snowman was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.
"What are you going to name him?" one of the children asked Billy.
"I'm going to call him Frosty," Billy said.
Billy and the other children played with Frosty all day long. They had snowball fights, built a snow fort, and even went sledding.
When it was time to go home, Billy was sad to leave Frosty. He knew that the snowman would melt by the next day, but he wanted to remember him forever.
"I'll come back to visit you tomorrow," Billy said to Frosty.
The next day, Billy went back to the park to visit Frosty. But when he got there, Frosty was gone. The sun had melted him away, but Billy knew that he would never forget Frosty.
Billy went home and told his parents about Frosty. His parents were so happy that Billy had made a new friend. They told Billy that he could build a new snowman the next day, and that they would help him.
Billy was excited to build a new snowman. He knew that he would never forget Frosty, but he was also excited to make a new friend.
The end.
